Description

We’re looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our Audit team in Leytonstone. You’ll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, working with senior members of the team to support the efficient running of the audit department, whilst supervising and supporting junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Management of a sizable portfolio of clients, dealing with all aspects of compliance, reporting directly to the responsible individual and clients
Manage assignments to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory technical standard and on time
Review the audit file and ensure that it is complete in accordance with best auditing practice
To assist Senior Managers in the development of services provided by the office
Manage subordinate staff, identifying individual strengths and weaknesses so that appropriate training measures may be taken to assist career development and promotion
Attendance and input to practice development initiatives including networking and new prospect / potential client proposals
Reviewing accounts and corporate tax deliverables
To provide ad-hoc support to other members of the audit department as required
Preparation of bills and the control of work in progress

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

ACA or ACCA qualified
Excellent knowledge of FRS102
Proven auditing technical skills
You can adapt to changing business needs and have a flair for thinking creatively to solve client challenges
You’ll have a robust understanding of the accounting industries standards, legislations and best practices, and put this into practice
Exceptional communication skills that will enable you to convey complex information clearly and engagingly across all levels of the organisation. You can actively support junior members of staff and provide constrictive feedback
Strong leadership qualities with experience in managing teams to be able to provide support for junior members of staff
Working knowledge of CaseWare
